Working with Clay!

On Friday we went to Sullivan Heights to learn how to make clay animals.  We had a great time working with the clay.  Thank you to Mrs. Farrant for teaching us how to use the technique velcro to attach the parts to our animals.  We made a seal, a hamster, a monkey, a tiger, a bird, cats, bunnies and dogs.  We are looking forward to painting our clay animals once they have been fired in the kiln.

  1. Great job! Where did you go to make the sculptures? We have Art Center in our community. What were those sticks you were using?

  2. In first grade we made clay owls and in 2nd grade we made clay suns. What we like best about clay is that you can make anything with it.
