Turkey Trot

At our school, we have a tradition called the Turkey Trot. The Friday before Thanksgiving the whole school goes for a run. This year, we decided to make turkey head bands for the run.
Gobble, gobble, gobble!

  1. Those turkey hats are cool! How did you make them? Did you use brown and colored paper? How are you doing? Happy Thanksgiving! Our thanksgiving is in November. We want to do a turkey trot, too.
We like your Voki. We want one too. How did you make it?
    Good luck in school!

    1. To make our turkey hats we started with a long brown piece of paper. We stapled it around our heads. Than we traced our hands on coloured paper.we made a head and stuck our hands on they other side.We made our eyes than we stuck our eyes on our face, and we made our waddle. And then we made legs we used one long piece of paper and cut in hafe and folded it and we stuck it on our turkey. Why is your thanks giving in November?

  2. Hi Kind Kids,
Happy Thanksgiving! Your Turkey Trot sounds fun. We just ran a jog-a-thon in September to help our PTO earn money for special school activities. It was great exercise and lots of fun. How far did you run for your turkey trot?

    1. Hi Ms. Leech's Class,
We go to Library Media two times per week. We have book exchange on one day. During the rest of the time, we work (sometimes using computers and sometimes writing and drawing on paper) on projects related to what we are studying in school. Mrs. Andrada reads to us; we write and post on our blogs and we explore the world around us using all different media, such as computers, iPads, books, ebooks, online databases (PebbleGo), and blogs like yours. Sometimes our classroom teachers stay with us and co-teach the class. Right now we are reading Marty McGuire in our classroom, writing about the book on our blogs and connecting with our Primary Blogging Buddies in Library Media.
