Global Read Aloud

Today we started our Global Read Aloud with the story Marty McGuire. Some of us participated last year in Charlotte's Web Read Aloud and we were so excited when we found out that we were starting today.  Last year some of us met Kate Messner on Skype and we remembered how she became an author.   We started with making predictions about what the story was about based on the cover of the book. We used TodaysMeet to type in our predictions. We scanned QR codes which took us to TodaysMeet. We were so surprised when we saw that people had already written on the page. Ms. Leech explained that other schools in Surrey and Ontario could also leave their thoughts and predictions on this page. It was especially exciting to find out that our friends across the hall were also making predictions. We could read their predictions on our SmartBoard.
